The project C-NET has started!
On November 11th the project C-NET (CO2 valorization NETwork) has officially started. The project, funded by EU under the Horizon MSCA-Staff Exchanges program, is aimed at developing a network of experts in the field of CO2 capture and thermo- and electro-catalytic conversion to syngas in order to promote advancements in the wide “net zero carbon” field. Focus of the research is the mechanochemical synthesis of innovative, more efficient dual function materials (CO2 adsorption and catalytic reaction on the same material) and electrocatalysts, and the design of structured reactors for process intensification. Within C-NET, researchers will take advantage of facilities and know-how of the partner units and the synergistic collaboration will triangulate people, materials and knowledge between the members of the consortium, that counts 6 partner universities (University of Udine, University of Surrey (UK), Technical University of Norway, University of Sevilla, Universidad de la Sabana (Colombia), Beijing Forestry University (China)) and 2 companies (Treibacher Industrie AG (Austria) and VirtualMech (Spain)). Prof. Sara Colussi is C-NET coordinator. C-NET, exploiting the planned secondments and the organization of workshops and conferences to promote knowledge-sharing and new skills acquisition, will provide an exhaustive toolkit aimed at overcoming the current state-of-the-art in the field of CO2 valorization processes.
