Before joining the University of Udine, he obtained his master’s degree in chemistry at the Universiti Teknologi Malaysia. As part of his master's thesis, he worked on the phytochemical-assisted synthesis of titania nanoparticles and testing their photocatalytic activity in the degradation of methyl orange dye. Currently, as part of his PhD at the University of Udine, he is working on the development of Ceria-based catalysts (CeO2) capable of adsorbing and activating CO2 to catalyze the hydrogenation reaction of CO2.
