RUDY CALLIGARO
Rudy Calligaro is a PhD student at the University of Udine in the Catalysis for Energy and Environment Group. Before joining the University of Udine he got his master degree in Chemistry at University of Trieste. In his master thesis he worked on the synthesis of polypyridyl complexes for biomedical applications. His actual research regards the synthesis and characterization catalysts synthesized coherently with the Green Chemistry principles for the transformation of greenhouse molecules into products with higher market value. During his PhD he started an on-going collaboration with the Advanced Photoelectric Effect – High Energy (APE-HE) beamline group at the Elettra Synchrotron of Trieste. His interests are related to the deep understandings of the fundamentals of the materials synthesized in order, in the future, to develop high efficient materials that will be needed in the future energetic transition.
