International cooperation with University of South Africa
The group of catalysis has expanded its international collaborations with the group of Prof. Xinying Liu, Head of FTS group, Institute for the Development of Energy for African Sustainability (IDEAS), University of South Africa, Johannesburg to explore the feasibility of preparing catalysts for Fischer-Tropsch by ball milling.
Prof. Xinying Liu visited the University of Udine, giving a lesson entitled “Small Scale Liquid Fuel Plant Design Through Fischer-Tropsch Synthesis” within the course of “Tecnologie per la riduzione dei gas serra e lo stoccaggio di energia”( Prof. Marta Boaro) and the PhD school of Engineering for Energy and Environment of Polytechnic Department of Engineering and Architecture and met us in our Laboratories.
Marta visited Xingying Liu’s group and participated as invited lecturer in the 2nd Gauteng Catalysis Seminar, at Tshwane University of Technology, Pretoria, with a lesson entitled “The role of CeO2 based materials in the green transition”
