PhD week 2025

All of our PhD students on the Environmental and Energy Engineering Science programme attended the Doctoral Week, where they gave presentations on 22–23 October 2025.

Rizwan presented a poster on his recent research into the solvent-free synthesis of ceria-based catalysts for gasoline soot oxidation. His work was recognised with the Best Poster Prize.

Meanwhile, Fareeha, Roberta and Daniele presented their research progress, the objectives they had achieved during the first year, and their future research plans. This provided a valuable opportunity for feedback and discussion with the evaluation committee and faculty members. The presentations demonstrated the students' growing understanding of their research areas, as well as their commitment to achieving the proposed milestones in the coming years.

Nicolas and Imad gave their third-year presentation in preparation for their final defence.
