PhD week 2023
The PhD Week 2023 of the PhD Program in Energy and Environmental Engineering Sciences was held from Wednesday, October 18, 2023 to Friday, October 20, 2023 with the active participation of all our students. On Wednesday, Imad and Nicolas presented their research entitled "Utilization of solid, liquid and gaseous steelmaking by-products for the development of circular economy processes" and "Fundamental insights of catalyst preparation using a mechano-chemical approach", respectively. On Thursday, Andrea S. and F. presented their posters: "New oxygen carriers to implement chemical looping processes for the decarbonization of industry and/or H2 production" and "Eco-friendly mechano-chemical synthesis of innovative metal supported catalysts for energy and environmental applications". Finally, Gianmarco gave his third year lecture on Friday on "Design, development and implementation of a thermo-photo catalytic reaction system to study the plasmonic effect on the activation and reaction of small molecules (CO2, H2, CH4)".
